概要
ポートラジオは、VHF無線電話(Very High Frequency 超短波帯の電波を使用)により、港湾内及びその周辺海域における外国航路に就航する船舶を対象に主として港務通信を取り扱う港湾無線局のことをいいます。
徳山下松港は、日本有数の特定重要港湾としてその港勢は増大の一途をたどっており、ポートラジオ局の運用により、船舶の安全確保及び港湾施設の効率的な利用が図られ、本港の円滑な港湾運営に大きく寄与します。

"Port Radio Station" supplies neccesary information concerning the use of port facilites to ships in the port or to ocean liners near the port,using the VHF(very high frequency)wireless telephone.
Tokuyama-Kudamatsu Port has become increasingly significant since it was designated as a Special Important Port.
Establishment of the "Port Radio Station" will contribute to the effective operation of the port and safe navigation in the Seto Inland Sea.

業務内容
ポートラジオ局は、港湾運営を行う港湾管理者（山口県）と入出港する外貿船との間において、船舶運行に関する情報連絡を取り扱うもので、その業務は、次のとおりです。
- 船舶の緊急事態発生時の関係機関への連絡
- 船舶の安全に関する連絡
- 入出港、湾内移動及びバースの指定などの連絡
- 水先人、曳船、通船などの手配
- その他港湾施設の管理運営に必要な連絡
"Port Radio Station"deals with the information on shipping operations between the Port Authority (Yamaguchi Prefecture) and foreign trading ships.
